Each drop creates the ripple of Spring...
Life flowing towards us --
Reflecting Nature's timing,
Not ours.

Such determination, such patience --
Yet, so worth the effort, so worth the wait.
Let me see your ephemeral beauty
For our lives pass quickly too.

If we must,
Let it be a gradual transformation --
When death comes,
Let the earth receive our oblation --
One more time,
Let the cycle teach us wise resignation.

Why did we erase so much
of the prairie's cursive message?

What comprehensible truth
of nature waits for our rediscover?

Singing sentinel,
Petite protector --
Fear not
For your little ones --
I come in peace.

After all,
We share a common home.

Into the thickening night, a light.
Upon the withering earth, a birth.
Hold each shooting star that shines --
Lest we fall into despair
Through the loss of lives so fair.

- Remembering Newtown, Conn

Hold on if you must -
Yet, you were fashioned to fly
With wispy wings -
Abandon yourself to the wind.
Your flight is gift
Your landing is life
To the monarchs of the world.

I held my breath
as we do sometimes
To stop time
When something wonderful
has touched us.

"To enter the language of transformation!
To learn the importance of stillness,
with one's hands folded!

"The leaf has a song in it...
Inside the river there is an unfinishable story
and you are somewhere in it
and it will never end until it all ends..."

"When it's over, it's over,
and we don't know
any of us, what happens then.
So I try not to miss anything."

Instructions for living a life:
Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.
