summarizing and synthesizing, monitoring understanding, expanding vocabulary, building schema

      /   10   Develops a level 2  or 3 thesis which is clear in the presentation even to someone who has not read the book.

      /   30   Supports the thesis with solid evidence from throughout the book.

      /   10   Presentation adds to the message: layout design (color, text, spelling, image credits, use of white space, etc.)
